Pr. Davis Mathews was born in Baroda in Northwestern India as the fourth son of Pastor Mathew Cherian and Grace. His parents were one of the first missionaries to come to Gujarat from Kerala in 1965. He grew up experiencing tremendous suffering and poverty as his parents lived by faith to preach the gospel in Northern India. God opened a door for his family to immigrate to the United States in 1989 where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the City University of | ||
| New York. In 1996, Pr. Davis and his wife Anila gave up their secular careers and returned to Gujarat to work alongside his parents. They served in an extreme environment of anti-Christian persecution with the vision to reach, train and send native missionaries to reach unreached areas of India. By the grace of God a number of people were saved in different states of North India. | |||
